One of the Western Cape's Most Extensive Access Fleets — Over 200 Machines

When you hire access equipment, the size and depth of the supplier's fleet matters more than people realise. A big, well-stocked fleet means the right machine is available when you need it, a backup can be sent if one goes down, and you're never talked into the wrong machine simply because it's the only one free.

SOS runs one of the Western Cape's most extensive access fleets — over 200 machines across four categories, with multiple units of each type. Here's what that means for your job.

Trailer-Mounted Cherry Pickers

Our full Niftylift trailer-mounted fleet spans 12m to 21m working height — towable platforms that reach remote sites under their own power and set up on outriggers wherever you need them.

They come in a range of fuel types, and with baskets configured for either standard work or electrical work, so the machine matches the task. And we hold multiple of each, so availability keeps up with demand.

Boom Lifts

Where you need to reach up and out, our boom fleet runs from 12m all the way to 38m working height — from light maintenance reach to serious industrial height.

The range covers the major names — Niftylift, Genie, JLG and Zoomlion — in electric, hybrid and diesel, so whether you're working indoors on a smooth floor or out on rough construction ground, there's a boom built for it. With multiple units across the range, we can put the right machine on your site, not just the one that happens to be free.

Scissor Lifts

For height with a large platform and a generous working load, our scissor lifts range from 6m to 18m working height.

We stock JLG, Snorkel and Zoomlion, in both electric and diesel — electric for quiet, zero-emission indoor work, diesel and rough terrain for uneven outdoor sites. As with the rest of the fleet, multiple units of each keep pace with demand.

Telehandlers

Part forklift, part reach machine, our telehandlers cover 6m to 17.1m of lift height for moving materials up and forward on site.

The fleet includes Terex, JLG and Manitou — proven names for the heavy, repetitive work of a live construction site.

Why Fleet Depth Matters to You

Over 200 machines, multiple units of every type, and heights spanning 6m to 38m across the categories add up to three things that matter on a job:

Every unit is serviced, load-tested and certified before it leaves our yard.

Tell Us About Your Job

With a fleet this size, whatever you're working on, there's a machine for it. Tell us the height you're reaching, whether you're indoors or out, what the ground's like and what you're lifting — and we'll match you to the right unit from across the range.
